<p><em>For this year’s <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Relay for Life</span></strong> event scheduled for Friday night, August 6<sup>th</sup>, and Saturday morning, August 7<sup>th</sup>, at the Todd County Park, the Relay committee is sponsoring a Country Store as a fund-raising activity.  Items including jams, jellies, canned vegetables, pickles, and baked goods will be sold.  If you would like to contribute one or more items to the Country Store, please bring the items to West Side, and Ruth Sawyers will take those items to Relay.</em></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><em>Carolyn Farmer has asked that <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">cancer survivors</span></em> please email her with their names when possible.  Also, if you know of cancer survivors who do not have email, she asks that their names be emailed as well.  She will then forward those names to the chairperson of the Survivor Committee. Todd County’s Relay for Life is scheduled for Friday, August 6<sup>th</sup>, and Saturday, August 7th, at the Todd County Park in Elkton. The event begins at 6:00 PM on Friday night and is scheduled to conclude at 6:00 AM on Saturday morning. Please show your support for this event by contributing in any way that you possibly can.  We have all had family members, friends, and acquaintances touched by this disease – let’s show our support for this effort to raise money to find a cure. <p><em>According to the Annual Church of Christ Report from the New Life Behavior Ministries of Corpus Christi, Texas, for the calendar year of 2009, West Side baptized 20 individuals, had six prayer requests, taught 1100 lessons, distributed 100 tracts, and distributed 100 Bibles through its work with the Detention Center Ministry.  “Thanks” is also extended to the many volunteers who contribute much effort and time to this work.</em></p>
