Detention Center Ministry History

West Side Church of Christ has been actively involved in the detention center ministry at the Todd County Detention Center since its re-opening in the fall of 2007. Jacky Moore served as our first Detention Center Minister until the time of his death on April 28, 2012; many other members of West Side and other Todd County congregations of Churches of Christ also participate in this ministry.

Church of Christ Report

According to the Annual Church of Christ Report from the New Life Behavior Ministries of Corpus Christi, Texas, for the calendar year of 2009, West Side baptized 20 individuals, had six prayer requests, taught 1100 lessons, distributed 100 tracts, and distributed 100 Bibles through its work with the Detention Center Ministry. “Thanks” is also extended to the many volunteers who contribute much effort and time to this work.
